Nokia 6 looking to be a success before its release

Last week HMD Global, the company that has licensed the manufacturing of Nokia phones, lifted the curtains to reveal a grand treat. The new Nokia 6, a smartphone running on the Android 7.0 Nougat. HMD announced the release of the smartphone to be exclusive to the Chinese market before sending it out to the world. The Nokia 6 was planned to put on a flash sale on 19th of January 2017 and registrations are being made even now at JD.com in China. Only 24 hours have passed the HMD Global has confirmed as many as 250,000 registrations!

Priced at CNY 1699, this huge success marks a significant moment in the history of Nokia. A clear statement that tells us that despite the few years gone by unnoticed, there are still a majority of users still rooting for Nokia.

The Nokia 6 is nothing out of the ordinary compared to its competitors in the current market. The only significant feature seems to be the fact that it will be running on Android’s Nougat platform 7.0. The device has a 5.5” FHD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. A 16MP rear camera supporting phase detection AF system and an 8MP front camera with Dolby Atmos tech speakers are some pleasant features.

HMD states it will launch more smartphones by the end of February.
