Oppo released its “Selfie Expert” handset Oppo F1 Plus in India. The device is available for INR 26,990 ($406) approximately. The smartphone will be available from mid of April and it will come in Rose Gold and Gold color options. The mobile phone has been unveiled in China back in March with the name of Oppo R9 and the company rebranded the mobile for international markets.
The Oppo F1 Plus features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Amoled display, is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 processor clocked at 2GHz, and is coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 16MP secondary or front camera which has 78.1-degree wide-angle lens and a 13MP rear camera which features a LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and it can record 4K video recording. It runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The design of the device resembles to iPhone 6, so it looks trendy and chic. It has a fingerprint scanner on the home button on the bottom of the display. The company claims that its fast finger print scanner will unlock the device in only 0.2 seconds.
The device will be available only in 64GB storage version and a 2850 mAh battery will be used to enlighten the device. The connectivity options are 4G with VoLTE support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.The dual SIM mobile comes with hybrid SIM slot which means they also support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). Like other Oppo devices, the F1 supports VOOC flash charge that is claimed to offer up to 2 hours of talk time in just 5 minutes for charging.
