Samsung announces Galaxy Note 8

Following the recall of the Galaxy Note 7 last year, the entire Note line has been under a certain duress of whether to be continued or not. Just recently, Samsung published its report on the investigation of Note 7 and have successfully identified the culprit. Effectively eradicating the problem from the manufacturing line and ensuring similar problem never affects the future devices, Samsung’s CEO Mr. DJ Koh just confirmed that Galaxy Note 8 will be launched this year, with the promise that it will be safer and better than the Note 7.

The CEO on an interview with CNET mentioned that during the investigation in the disaster of the Note 7, the company not only found out the reason behind the failure but also found out that globally, Samsung’s Note series has a lot of loyal customers who are eagerly waiting for the return of their favourite device. Some customers have gone as far as to keeping the devices with themselves despite the evidence. This is evident from the fact that up to date, 100% device recall has not been achieved. Moreover, CEO of Samsung US, Tim Baxter, states that a staggering 10,000 people have already signed up for future updates on the Note along with a huge number of Note 4 and 5 owners are still asking for a system upgrade. The people have made it ample clear that they WANT a new Note. For these very reasons, Samsung has promised its valued consumers a new and improved Note 8. As of yet, no details regarding the specs were revealed. CEO DJ Koh ensures that the new Note will be very innovative. We wait for further news and hope to see the company redeem itself this year.
