Samsung's Galaxy S6 edge and Gear S2 win Best Smartphone and Connected Device Awards at MWC 2016

Two days ago Samsung launched Galaxy S7 Edge at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. As everyone knows predecessor of Galaxy S7 Edge is the last year model Galaxy S6 Edge. At the MWC 2016 event Galaxy S6 Edge won “Best Smartphone 2015” title.

Not only smartphone Korean Giant;s Gear S2 smartwatch which is available in standard, 3G, Classic, and in Classic 3G variants was given "Best Connected Consumer Electronic Device" title in the Best Mobile Handsets & Devices category.

Let’s take a look into the specifications of Galaxy S6 Edge and Gear S2 smartwatch. Galaxy S6 Edge features a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, 16M colors with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a Exynos 7420 Octa chipset and it runs Android OS, v5.0.2 (Lollipop), upgradable to v6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has a 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB internal memory options with 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera which hold various advanced features. A Non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery keeps the device on.

Samsung Gear S2 packs a 1.2 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 360 x 360 pixels resolution. The smartwatch is powered by Tizen-based wearable platform, Qualcomm MSM8x26 chipset, and CPU Dual-core 1.0 GHz. It offers 4 GB, and 512 MB of RAM and accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, barometer sensors. Always-on display and rotating bezel make the watch more attractive.

Both devices Galaxy S6 Edge and Gear S2 were masterpieces by Samsung and now certainly we expect that Galaxy S7 Edge and upcoming model of Gear S2 would turn into incredible devices just like their predecessors.
