Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA are Available for Pre-registrations in India

Pre-registrations of Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA devices are started in India. Customers who want to buy the handsets can sign up on the company’s India website to find out information about the Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA such as price and launch offers.

 

The pricing details are not revealed yet; the firm will announce the prices near launch of the Sony Xperia X and Sony Xperia XA. At MWC 2016, Sony introduced all novel smartphone X series with contains Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia X performance. The company hasn’t opened pre-registrations for the Xperia X Performance; it hints that the device will be released sometime later in the country. Late in February, the Xperia X Performnce went for pre-registrations in United States. The devices come with Dual SIM variants such as Xperia X Dual and Xperia XA Dual. The Sony India website didn’t reveal whether Dual variants will be available in India or not.


In Europe region, Xperia X and Xperia XA kicked off for pre-orders through e-commerce retailers. The Sony Xperia XA is available for EUR 599 (roughly USD $671), while the Sony Xperia XA is priced at EUR 299 (about USD $335). So we expect that India pricing will be around European prices. At MWC, the company announced that Sony Xperia X and Sony Xperia XA performance will be available in Graphite Black, White, and Rose Gold, Lime Gold.


When it comes to the specifications, the Sony Xperia X packs a 5-inch full-HD display with (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650, clocked at Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 & quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, and coupled at Adreno 510. The smartphone comes in 32GB/64 GB native storage option with 3 GB RAM. There is a 23 MP rear camera with f/2.0, 24mm, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. For selfie lovers there is a 13 MP front camera with f/2.0, 22mm, and 1/3" sensor. The Xperia XA features a fingerprint scanner, and supports microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot. The smartphone houses a 2620 mAh non-removable battery.


The Sony Xperia XA also features 5.0 inches screen but with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The mid-range device is powered by Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10, coupled at Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53, and clubbed with Mali-T860MP2. In the camera section, there is a 13 MP, phase detection autofocus, with LED flash, and a 8 MP front facing camera with 1/4" sensor size, and autofocus. The device houses 16 GB native storage with 2 GB RAM. The Xperia XA features a 2300 mAh non-removable battery, but unfortunately it doesn’t sport a fingerprint scanner. Both smartphones run Android 6.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
