Japanese conglomerate Sony launched Xperia X series at MWC 2016 and now renders suggest that the firm is working on another device Xperia XR (F8331). A couple of days ago, the smartphone was leaked in renders and courtesy to @onleaks for sharing pictures of the device today.
The Xperia XR (F8331) looks glossy and chic in blue color with square edges, overall looks of the smartphone is appealing which can attract many fans. It is expected that the Xperia XR (F8331) will get a side mounted fingerprint sensor or home button just like Xperia Z5 and Xperia X. According to rumors, the smartphone will feature a Dual LED sensor on its back camera and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone is 4mm taller, 2.5mm wider, and it measures 146.4 x 71.9 x 8.1mm.
However, all smartphone makers are competing each other by redesigning their products, but we haven’t seen any kind of design changes in Xperia smartphones. The Xperia XR is following the design of Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z2 and even lately added Xperia X series also comes with the same design. This is the areas where Sony needs to work if it wants to attract new and retain old customers.
As for specifications, the Xperia XR will feature a 5.2 inch display and it will be powered by Snapdragon 820. The device will be able to record 4K video with its both front and main cameras. When it comes to the official launch date of the device, renders say that the smartphone will be launched in September 2016. Though, the company has already confirmed the presence of the device in at the trade show.
