Xiaomi Shipment Declined by 38 percent in China While Huawei goes ahead

Xiaomi is one of the leading Chinese mobile makers, in the second quarter of 2016 sales of the company declined by 38% in China. Another top company Huawei took the lead and caused to decline in sales.

According to research from International Data Corp, last year in the same quarter, Xiaomi shipped 17.1 million smartphones and this year the company debuted only 10.5 million units. The figure made the firm the fourth biggest participant in the mobile market behind Huawei, OPPO,and Vivo. As per CB Insights, Xiaomi once was valued at $46 billion.

 

As domestic mobile makers have enhanced their quality, promotion, design so competition has increased and these companies are putting pressure on universal leaders Samsung and Apple. According to IDC, in China market, Apple sales declined by 32% and it knocks down to fifth position.

 

The research firm finds out that OPPO and Huawei expanded its loop by concentrating on one or two key characteristics in their promotion. Huawei differentiated its smartphone by using Leica lens and OPPO adopted fast charging technology in their current flagships.

 

Another research reports says that Apple see a decline in its 2016 sales and the company is continuously losing its ground in largest abroad market. Canalys research analyst Jessie Ding, said that, if Apple wants to get back in the competition it has to bring something unique and innovative. Still iPhone models lack features such as wireless charging and waterproofing.
