Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G Hands On

Samsung has enough number of devices in their Galaxy series and it is hard to define how many devices are present in the whole series and we also cannot say anything that how much devices more will be added in the series by the company in future. Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G is the member newly added in the Galaxy family. The handset has a SM-G386F model number and also known as Samsung Galaxy Core 4G. This  is the very new member so there is no estimated cost mentions anywhere nor company disclosed the price of this handset but after reviewing the specifications we can assume that the device is in the mid range handset line.

Specifications

Design and Display

Usually Samsung presents the devices with light weight and sleek bodies. To the some extent Samsung follows the slim body tradition. Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G was announced in June 2014. According to the measures the handset has 127.8 x 66.2 x 10.6 mm dimensions which mean the handset has slim bezels which measures equal from all sides. The handset carries 136 grams weight. The handset is made up with the shiny glossy plastic. The handset has an IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with the measures of 4.3 inches. The screen provides 480x 800 pixels resolutions. According to the screen measures the ratio of resolution is enough. Handset sleek body, its measurement, ideal weight and screen size make the handset as a balanced handset.

Software and User Interface

The handset follows the traditional operating system. It runs the latest version of Android OS, v 4.4.2 (KitKat) as a default operating system. This operating system is easy in use and light in weight so it consumes low battery power. The interface is fulfilling all requirements of the users and they can use the operating system without any problem. There are a bunch of pre loaded apps available in the handset compatible with the operating system and users can run, add or delete the applications according to their requirements.  

Processor and Memory

The handset is equipped with 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor. It is estimated that this is the low range handset so the processor is well enough for the device according to the other hardware placement in the handset. 1.5GB RAM and 8 GB in built memory is offered by the company. The inbuilt memory can be extended up to 64 GB with the support of microSD card. However the RAM is enough but users have limits to use the storage capacity. If they over load the handset with applications, games, movies and songs the handset speed goes down and users have to face the slow speed of handset working, to avoid the slow speed don’t over load your small handset with too many unnecessary applications and files.

Camera

Samsung is famous amongst the users because of the correct placement of camera on their handsets. Although, it is expected that the handset is low range device, but Samsung placed the well enough camera on it with some additional camera features. The handset is equipped with 5 mega pixel rear camera. The rear camera has a 2592х1944 pixels density and in addition the camera is powered with auto focus and LED flash. The pixel density is more than enough for this handy device with the auto focus features users can easily capture the images of moving objects or take the images during the traveling. The option automatically focuses the position of the object which users want to capture. LED flash provides the extra light to the camera. If users want to take the image in dim light they just simply turn the LED on and enjoy capturing the images and the result is as good as in the bright light. The handset has a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

Battery

 The handset is energized with Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery. There is not much information of the battery available, but users expect to have the good stand by and talk time from the battery placed on the handset.
