Today (29-Dec-20), a budget-friendly Xiaomi’s phone – Redmi 9T has received certification from Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) authority. The NBTC listing shows that the Redmi 9T will come with a model number M2010J19ST. It can be speculated that since the phone has now been certified, it may soon be launched in Thailand. The phone could be a rebranded variant of Redmi Note 9 4G that was announced in China last month.

Unfortunately, the NBTC listing doesn’t confirm any specifications of the phone except for the 4G LTE support. If Redmi 9T truly turns out to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 4G, it is likely to have similar specifications as the Redmi Note 9 4G. Redmi 9T may feature a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display. Under the hood, the phone may come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is expected to have an 8MP camera at the front. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Redmi 9T may feature a quad rear camera setup which will include a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone is expected to pack a 6,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
