Honor V40 5G official renders surfaced online

Honor earlier confirmed to announce its flagship Honor V40 5G on January 18 in China, but now the company has postponed the launch, and the smartphone will be unveiled on January 22 instead. The company also confirmed that it would go on sale on the same day (22 January). Ahead of the launch, the official renders of the Honor V40 have surfaced online at a Chinese retailer site. In addition, some live shots of the phone have also appeared on Weibo.

Honor V40 price in Japan and features

The phone (as per the renders) will arrive with a curved screen with a pill-shaped cutout at the upper-left corner for the dual camera. The rear view of the phone shows that its rectangle-shaped camera module has three cameras, laser autofocus, and an LED flash unit. The Quad rear camera setup is said to have a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP laser focus sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. As per an official poster that surfaced recently, Honor V40’s display will have 1.07 billion colors.

As for the other specs, it may have a 6.72-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The phone will house an in-display fingerprint scanner. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. Honor V40 is rumored to house a 4,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging and a 50W wireless charging support.
