HTC U20 5G and Desire 20 Pro officially unveiled

It’s mid-2020 and HTC has finally launched a pair of mid-range smartphones – HTC U20 5G and HTC Desire 20 Pro. These devices have an up-to-date design, quad-camera setups, and 5,000 mAh batteries. In terms of pricing, the HTC U20 5G will be priced at NT$18,900 ($640) for its sole 8GB+256GB model while the Desire 20 Pro will cost NT$8,990 ($303) for 6GB+128GB model.

HTC Desire 20 Pro

The HTC Desire 20 Pro has a 6.5-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a punch-hole at the top left corner. Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC backed by 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. The smartphone boots Android 10 and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. In the camera department, the phone is equipped with a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup on the back. The primary lens is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and 2-megapixel macro camera. Other features of the phone include 3.5mm audio jack, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi.

The HTC U20 5G is a mid-range offering from the brand featuring a 6.8-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC with support for 5G connectivity. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. The U20 5G also features Android 10 and a 5,000mAh battery, but with 18W Quick Charge 4.0. There is a 32MP selfie sensor on the front panel. All other features of the smartphone including rear camera setup, connectivity options, and fingerprint scanner are same as the Desire 20 Pro.
