In my opinion, Apple may want to play a good role in securing 5G infrastructure and premium equipment to facilitate consumers with fully reliable new tech, so no one would be afraid of being tracked or attacked by else one. This might take some time, or Apple would be able to launch a separate 5G product line in early 2020, but no confirmation yet.
