Last year, ASUS unveiled the ROG Phone 2 gaming smartphone on July 22 in China. Today, the Taiwanese company took to Weibo to confirm that the ROG Phone 3 will be arriving in the same month this year. The handset will be rivaling with the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone that is also set to debut in July.
Like the predecessor, the ROG Phone 3 will arrive with gaming optimizations from Tencent. The Chinese firm will focus on improving the hardware performance of the device for gaming content. The ROG Phone 3 has already appeared on TENAA with full specifications. It is believed that it could be one of the first phones to arrive with the enhanced Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform. It will have a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The ROG UI based Android 10 OS will be preloaded on the phone. The gaming phone from ASUS is expected to arrive with up to 16 GB of RAM. Asus Rog Phone 3 has a 6,000mA battery and it is likely to support 30W fast charging. For selfies, it has a 13-megapixel front camera. The rear triple camera setup of the ROG Phone 3 has a 64-megapixel primary camera.
