Asus ROG Phone 5 with 16GB RAM and Snapdragon 888 visits Geekbench

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is coming soon as the company’s latest flagship gaming smartphone. It will succeed the ROG Phone 3, which was unveiled in July last year. The upcoming gaming smartphone will also arrive with flagship-grade features and specifications. Recently, the ROG Phone 5 appeared on TENAA and 3C authorities of China. Today (9-Feb-21), the smartphone has received another important certification through Geekbench.

Asus ROG Phone 5 price

The ROG Phone 5 has been spotted on Geekbench site with model number ASUS I005DA. The listing reveals that it will come with 16GB of RAM. The smartphone will also come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC (mentioned with its ‘lahaina’ codename), which comes with a base frequency of 1.8GHz. The device can be seen running on Android 11 OS. Asus ROG Phone 5 has achieved 1131 points in the single-core test and 3729 points in the multi-core test. That’s pretty much everything that has been revealed from the Geekbench listing at the moment. Back in December, the 8GB RAM variant of the phone was appeared on Geekbench. Now, it gets the same certification with 16GB of RAM. So, it seems that the Taiwanese tech giant is testing the performance of the phone before making it official.

As for the other specifications, the TENAA listing of the phone revealed that it would have a 6.78-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. There will be a 6,000 mAh dual-cell battery that could support up to 65W fast charging. It will also come with a 64MP triple rear camera setup.
