BlackBerry Plans to Launch 2nd Android Smartphone in 2016
Blackberry’s first android phone,BlackBerry Priv went on sale last month. Now a leak has popped up that the company started to work on another android device. John Chen, CEO of Blackberry has unveiled that the company might launch a second Android handset in 2016. Though, he said that the focus will be towards high end smartphone. He didn’t expose either the device will be mid-range or not.
It really depends on the Priv, if the current device is well recognized in the market, then there are great chances to focus on high end and close to mid range mobile phone. Said by CEO to Bloomberg.
However, he didn’t expose exact launch time for the smartphone, it depends on how the PRIV do in coming months. Currently the mobile is available in only four countries, and the handset will launch in 31 markets in next 3 months. Currently the next expected device is named as Vienna, has already façade show design of the device.
Furthermore, few images are leaked, show that the second device might have slider design and carry an iconic physical keyboard upfront design. To recall BlackBerry Priv the mobile went on sale for $600 earlier this month. There is much time to judge performance of the device. Still handset is yet to release in many courtiers.
