Gionee Launched Marathon M5 Plus with 5020 mAh Battery and 64 GB RAM

Last year in December Gionee launched Marathon M5 Plus in China and now the device will officially land in India market on Thursday. The smartphone carries a INR 26,999/ USD $ 406 price tag.

It is worth mentioning that the Marathon M5 Plus mobile comes with a larger battery, it has 5020mAh battery which is quite noticeable feature of the mobile. The company says that if we compare Marathon M5 Plus with Marathon M5 it is equipped with a smaller battery, but now it comes with a big battery which will optimized the performance of the mobile.

 

The manufacturer claims that Marathon M5 Plus' battery preserves 90 percent (4500mAh) of its unique aptitude after 600 charging cycles and it converts into two years of use.  The company also made some improvements in the device for instance it will alter users about applications that consume the handset’s battery. The mobile also supports fast charging technology it charges from zero to 100 percent in 1 hour and 57 minutes.

 

The mobile is made with metal; it features a 6-inch full-HD AMOLED display with (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of native storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.  The Marathon M5 Plus runs Gionee's Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

 

It has a 13MP autofocus back camera, and 5MP selfie camera with fixed focus. The smartphone is available in Champagne Gold and Polar Gold color options. The Marathon M5 Plus supports Bluetooth v4.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity. You will also find a fingerprint scanner on the back side of the mobile.
