Every year in I/O conference Google introduces the latest version of operating system with the yummy sweet name. This year Google confirms the new upgraded Android operating system named “LOLLIPOP”.
According to the reliable resources Google still follows the tradition to suggest the new name of new upgraded version like others. Lollipop comes after these major releases.
Android 4.4 Kitkat
Android 4.1-4.3 Jelly Bean
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Android 3.0 Honeycomb
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Android 2.2 Froyo
Android 2.0-2.1 Eclair
Android 1.6 Doughnut
Android 1.5 Cupcake
The first two versions of operating systems based on Android 1.0 and 1.1 are without any well-known public code names linked with them. After that the other version was on the surface but all the versions do not use any other code name or numbers besides the candy treat. The same source disclosed the fact about the LG G3 which is confirmed by the officials later.
“LOLLIPOP” is the latest in the series.
