HTC Desire 12S Launched With 18:9 Display and Snapdragon 435 Chipset

HTC launches a new affordable smartphone, the HTC Desire 12S. It is a mid-range handset which comes with 5.7-inch IPS LCD Display, trendy 18:9 viewing aspect ratio, FHD+ (720x1440) pixels resolution, and Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS with HTC Sense UI. The body of handset is made of plastic and polycarbonate, having 154.2 x 72.7 x 8.3 mm dimensions, 150 grams weight. It is a Dual SIM smartphone which supports 3G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, NFC and microUSB v2.0.

With Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and 3GB RAM of the HTC Desire 12S; you can get enough fast speed to run multiple background applications. It is armed with Adreno 505 GPU and Octa-core CPU with 1.4GHz clock rate of Cortex-A53 processor. The standard model of Desire 12s houses a 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB Internal Storage; however, the bigger memory variant gets 4GB RAM paired with 64GB inbuilt storage. There is a microSD card slot in both models.

Coming toward the camera department, the HTC Desire 12S sports a 13MP Rear Camera of f/2.0 aperture, equipped with a LED flash to capture beautiful photos and Full HD videos. For Selfie lovers, you are getting a 13MP Front Facing Camera of f/2.2 aperture, paired with also a LED flash to enhance your low light shoots. It offers a FHD video calling experience, too.

The rest of specs include a Non-removable Li-Ion 3075mAh Battery, a Rear Fingerprint Sensor, and Black, Silver and Red body color options. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support any sort of Fast Charging. Presently, the handset is only available in Taiwan while the other markets will get it later. HTC Desire 12s Price for standard 3GB/32GB variant is TWD 5990 which is about $200 while the 4GB/64GB version costs TWD 6990 indicating a price tag of $250.
