HTC Upcoming Nexus Smartphones Received Official FCC Filing

We already know that HTC is working on Nexus smartphones codename Sailfish and Marlin, scheduled to be launched in September. Today Ausdroid informs that FCC accepted these two devices and listing them online. However, Google didn’t refer these phones by the codenames.

The listing also shows that both devices Sailfish and Marlin are approved for frequency bands and they come with Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth LE, and NFC support. Unfortunately, there is no official information about the device specifications and features. Nevertheless, rumored specifications suggest that the Sailfish will feature a 5-inch screen with 1080p display whilst Marlin could have a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED one.


Previously a picture of the upcoming HTC Nexus device leaked and hinted that the device would look like iPhone 5s. The smartphone will have curved edges and notification panel like iPhone 5s. Both smartphones would be launched in mid-September and they are anticipated to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.


The upcoming LG V20 is also expected to be unveiled in September, but today a render confirmed that the company will launch LG G Flex 3 instead of LG V20. As per rumors, the LG G Flex 3 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and it will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset processor with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come with 8MP selfie camera, 16MP rear camera with an 8MP. Rest specifications will be come to known at the time of the launch.
