Huawei’s brand Honor has unveiled the V8 device in China. Today the handset is up for registrations through JD.com, Vmall, and other online retailers in the country. The first flash sale will start on 17 May, it’s around the corner.
The Honor V8 comes in three variants one has the 4GB of RAM and 32GB native storage while the second one comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory variant with additional network support, and the third one has 4GB of RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant with QHD display. The Honor V8 comes in two types of display such as Full-HD and Quad-HD. The 32GB model features a 5.7-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution, whilst the 64GB model packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440x2560 pixels resolution.
The smartphone is powered by octa-core Kirin 950 SoC (quad-core Cortex-A72 clocked at 2.5GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8GHz) joined with Mali T880 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The significant feature of the mobile is Dual 12MP main cameras with dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, BSI sensor, and an f/2.2 aperture. Besides, it poses a 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture. The internal memory of the smartphone is expandable via MicroSd card. The mobile supports hybrid card slot, one slot can be used for SIM and the other one can be used for either memory card or for second SIM.
The Honor V8 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei's EMUI 4.1 skin on top. The mobile supports USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE with support for Indian LTE bands, and 3.5mm headphone jack connectivity options. The smartphone measures 157x77.6x7.75 and weights 170 grams. It packs a 3500 mAh battery and it will be available in Rose Gold, Glacier Silver, Champagne Gold, and platinum Gold.
The variant with 4GB of RAM and 32GB native storage is priced at CNY 2,299(roughly USD $352), while the model with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with extra network support will be available for CNY 2,499 or (about USD $383), and the third variant with 4GB of RAM/64GB inbuilt storage with QHD display is carries CNY 2,799 (around USD $429) price tag. There are no official words regarding worldwide availability of the smartphone and its variants.
