Huawei will be launching a new 5G mid-range smartphone known as the Huawei Maimang 9 on July 27th next week. Ahead of its official launch, the Chinese smartphone maker has published the official renders of the Maimang 9 across various online retailers which show off the device in three different colorways.
Overall, Huawei Maimang 9 has a pretty standard design which includes a hole-punched display design, and a pill-shaped camera setup on its rear panel. The renders show that the upcoming phone will have color options such as Qijing Forest (gradient green), Sakura Snow Clear Sky (gradient white), and Magic Night Black. Tmall retailer site of China revealed the Huawei Maimang 9 5G will be available in variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. Other specifications of the Huawei Maimang 9 are already known as it has been spotted at TENAA and China Telecom product library recently. The phone is said to come with a 6.81-inches FHD+ LCD display. There will be a Dimensity 800 5G SoC and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The rear camera setup will have a 64-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel lens. To keep its lights on, the device will draw power from a 4,300mAh battery with fast-charging support. Some reports have revealed that the Huawei Maimang 9 will be a rebranded version of the Honor Play4 5G smartphone that was announced last month. The only remarkable difference is that the Honor has an extra 2-megapixel lens as it features a quad-camera setup on its back.
