Huawei Mate 40 Series confirmed to launch on October 22

Huawei has announced that its next lineup of flagship smartphones – the Huawei Mate 40 series – will be unveiled on October 22. According to the tweet from the official Huawei Mobile account, "unprecedented power is coming" and the event is going to be getting underway at 2 pm central European summer time – that's 5 am PT, 8 pm ET, 1 pm BST, and 10 pm AEST.

The official poster (shared by the company) shows the scene of what the sky would look like if you look from the bottom of a well. Huawei's flagship phones are known for their outstanding cameras, and the Mate 40 series should boast of a great camera system as well. The MIIT certification spotted by Digital Chat Station in August seems to hint at three devices in the Mate 40 series. The first one is tipped to be the vanilla Huawei Mate 40 with the codename Ocean and the model number OCE-AN00, and the second one is said to the Huawei Mate 40 Pro with the codename Noah and the model number NOH-AN00. The most premium one is tipped to be the Mate 40 Pro+ which will come with the model number NOP-AN00.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro was also appeared in renders by Pricebaba and Onleaks a few weeks ago, and the smartphone is seen to have a dual hole-punch selfie camera setup. It will come with a quad-camera setup at the back. The Mate40 series devices are expected to feature the all-new HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset.
