Yesterday at a launch event in London Huawei unveiled its new flagships Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus. The company packed advanced and moderately interesting technology in its P9 range. The high-end mobile carries a trendy design which looks quite similar to Nexus 6P.
The smartphone is only 6.95mm thick and has a bezel which measures just 1.7mm. The company states that the phone is manufactured with a full metal unibody and packs with curved edges for a comfortable hold. So overall the device is good looking and appealing.
When it comes to the specifications, the Huawei P9 features a a 5.2-inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution so the company has stayed committed to its promise that resolution of the device will be beyond 1080p resolution. It results a very upright 423 pixel per inch. The device comes in same size as last year model Huawei P8. The mobile is powered by a Kirin 955 SoC build on 16nm FinFET with Cortex-A72, quad Cortex-A53 cores, and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
Whereas, the Huawei P9 Plus is for those people who love big screen, the device packs a 5.5 inch AMOLED display. Huawei claims that its novel display is competent 500 nits peak brightness and 96% color saturation. The Press Touch feature is also shipped in both models.
Huawei P9 comes in two variants such as one model has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the other model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The Huawei p9 Plus comes in only one options like 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and for additional storage you can use MicroSD card. The both models come with a dual rear camera configuration, in few rumors we also heard that Huawei is working with Leica for developing a great camera. The smartphones have a 12MP rear camera with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and an 8MP front camera. The firm claims that the its latest flagship will change photography experience forever, might be it is too bold claim.
Both mobiles run Android Marshmallow and support USB Type C. The Huawei P9 comes with 3000 mAh battery and the Plus model packs a 3400 mAh battery. The smartphones are available in Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, Haze Gold, Prestige Gold, Ceramic White, and Titanium Grey. The Huawei P9 Plus will cost you €749 ($855), Huawei P9 base model will cost you €599 ($683) and its variant will be available for €649 ($741). The brilliant device will go on sale on 16th April in different countries including UAE, UK, China, and Germany etc.
