Huawei to Release First Daydream Competent Smartphone by Q4 2016

Lately Google announced Google-VR Daydream, it is basically a platform for superlative quality virtual smartphone virtual reality. The Daydream platform is coming in fall 2016 and it will allow users to utilize their favorite apps on virtual reality.

After Google’s Daydream announcement there was snooping that current Android devices are not compatible and the feature won’t work on them. It was said that Nexus P6 (Huawei) will be only device which will support the feature. However, there are numerous rumors that Huawei is working on a Daydream supported device and it will be released in 2016.


In an interview Huawei’s director Richard Yu, told to Wall Street Journal, “the device is in progress and it is expected to be released this fall”. Moreover, with the help of German optics specialist, Leica Huawei gave dual lens camera in its current flagship. The partnership of both companies is expected to last till 5 year, thus next device could also house Leica made dual lens camera.


The Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus both smartphones feature Leica dual 12MP camera setup, one camera captures only white and black picture, while other shoots detailed colored pictures. The selfie snapper is 8MP which also captures quality pictures.


Daydream headphones will function with variety of smartphone brands. Its aesthetically and functionality is same as Apple TV remote, whilst how exactly it will function it’s vague yet. Google states that a user will be able to use and control the controller to point in an amplified reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) room and execute other sign based events in the similar surroundings. All this will be a ingredient of the Android VR platform.
