Just like some of the devices in the current “Y” series, the new Huawei Y9a also features a motorized pop-up selfie camera that allows the device to boast an unblemished display. It is an LCD display that measures 6.63-inches diagonally and offers an FHD+ screen resolution. On the back panel, Huawei Y9a has a circular camera setup which reminds us of the Mate 30 series smartphones. The rear camera setup includes a 64 MP (f/1.8 aperture) main camera, an 8 MP, 120° (f/2.4 aperture) ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 MP (f/2.4 aperture) depth camera, and a 2 MP (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor, Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, and runs on EMUI 10.1 based on the Android 10 operating system. To keep its lights on, the Huawei Y9a is fitted with a sizeable 4,300mAh battery that carries support for Huawei’s proprietary 40W SuperCharge fast-charging solution.
