iQOO released a new poster on Weibo today. It confirms the chipset that will be powering the device. The poster reveals the presence of the Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Earlier this month, MediaTek announced the Dimensity 1000+ which is an enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 SoC that went official in November 2019. At the launch event of the SoC, it was confirmed that the upcoming iQOO will be the first Dimensity 1000+ chipset powered phone.
Soon, iQOO started releasing the teasers of the iQOO Z1 smartphone. It was quite evident that it will be arriving with Dimensity 1000+ 5G. Today’s poster is an official confirmation that the Dimensity 1000+ will drive the iQOO Z1. The poster reveals that the Dimensity 1000+ is a 7mm chipset with Cortex A77 + G77 architecture and it features APU 3.0. The bottom view of the smartphone shows the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a USB-C port, and an external speaker. The poster also reveals that the iQOO Z1 has a punch-hole screen. The recently leaked posters confirm that this device will continue to sport a rectangular camera module which will play hosts to a total of three cameras and a LED flash. These cameras should include a main camera, ultra-wide lens, as well as a macro/ depth sensor. In terms of pricing, the iQOO Z1 is rumored to come with a starting price of 2,498 Yuan (US$352) for its 6GB+128GB base model.
