Today (24-Mar-21), Lenovo has confirmed that it will launch the Lenovo Legion Pro successor, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro, on April 8th in China. The company has officially confirmed the launch date of the upcoming smartphone on Weibo. This upcoming Lenovo gaming phone will compete with Black Shark 4, ASUS ROG Phone 5, and Nubia Red Magic 6 smartphones.

Apart from revealing the launch date, the new poster does not reveal anything on the specifications of the Legion 2 Pro. It is reported that the Lenovo phone with the L70081 model number that recently appeared in the database of China’s 3C certification site could be the Legion 2 Pro gaming smartphone. The 3C listing revealed that the phone may come with a 65W fast charger. The predecessor Lenovo Legion Pro came with dual USB-C ports and allowed users to connect a pair of 45W chargers. Hence, there is a possibility that the Legion 2 Pro may also feature a pair of USB-C ports.

On the other hand, the recent Geekbench listing revealed that the Legion 2 Pro gaming phone would have a Snapdragon 888 mobile platform and 16 GB of RAM. It was found to be running on Android 11 OS. The phone managed to score 1129 and 3763 points in the single-core and multi-core test at Geekbench, respectively. It was also confirmed by the company last month that the smartphone will be equipped with a dual-turbo cooling fan.
