LG G5 Rumored to come with Always On Screen Feature

After LG G4, upcoming LG G5 will be masterpiece by the company. A few months ago LG successfully launched LG G4, the device has an entirely new design which looks appealing. Now rumors about LG G 5 are circulating around and covered the Android world.

As per new rumor, upcoming LG G5 will have an Always on Screen feature. Leaks emphasized that the device will never go asleep as other smartphones do. It doesn’t mean that mobile’s display will always be on, it is suggested that the display will show basic information such as date, time and notification alter on the smartphone in black and white color. LG can jump to new technology for LG G5 device. Previously Display on features is used by Samsung in Galaxy S6 Edge, and Note 5 Edge etc. Both devices show time, date and battery percentage on the edge which always remains on.  Samsung also gives option to users if they don’t like notifications on the edge they can set it off from settings section.

LG used LCD in LG G4 model which consumes a lot of power so if company wants to launch Always on screen feature successfully it will have to use OLED in LG G5 model. OLED screens don’t consume straight backlights, means OLED screen can save power when only specific part of the display is used. That is the secret which will allow the company to work on Always on screen feature. It is heard that LG would not use OLED in the device, claimed by Android Authority.

You can see similar functionality in LG V10 device; the company putted a small display in the device. Recently LG announced that it will spend billions into enhancing its OLED production potential.  LG G4 will be announced at MWC on February 21st so stay tuned we will notify you with latest updates.
