LG Velvet 5G is the first smartphone to feature LG's new design language. The company has now launched the LG Velvet 4G phone. Compared to the 5G variant, the LG Velvet 4G uses the same hardware apart from the processor. Even the design looks similar to the raindrop camera setup on the rear and symmetrical curves. The pricing for the LG Velvet 4G has been set at EUR 499.
As for the mobile platform, the new LG Velvet 4G has a two-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC built on the 10nm FinFET process. In comparison, the Velvet 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 765G 5G Chipset built on the more advanced 7nm EUV process. However, the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform is still a decent performer for a mid-range smartphone. The new LG Velvet 4G features the same 6.8-inch POLED display with Full HD+ (2340 by 1080 pixels) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. On the rear, it has a triple camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. For selfie experience, there is a 16-megapixel camera placed inside the waterdrop notch. It comes with a 4,300 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 and 9W wireless charging. Additionally, it also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
