According to Androidauthority LG is currently working in their 2nd generation homemade chipset which reduce the dependence on the chipset making king Qualcomm. This is the one reason and the other reason behind this hard working is to defeat the rival Samsung which made Exynos and the new Chinese rival Huawei made Kirin but it is expected that the LG’s own chipset will not be placed inside the main LG flagship which will make the debut in 2016 and expectedly called LG G5.
The report further confirmed that this custom chipset will be used in other LG smartphones which will be in the pipeline and might be the successor of recently launched LG V10. It is also said that the 2nd generation of the chipset which is under process is similar with Kirin 950 in working and it will be based upon ARM Cortex-A72 and A53 CPU cores and rumors point to TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process for manufacturing.
Another report suggests that the LG said the upcoming chipset which is Nuclun 2 is not that much powerful to house LG G5 which might be released in coming March and the chipset gives power to the successor of LG V10 which will be available somewhere in the 2nd half of 2016.
Though the stated above information is stand in the line of rumors and need to be confirmed first by LG officially but it seems logical somewhere that the company will not take the risk and place the chipset inside the flagship, in fact, they prefer to test the chipset inside the regular smartphone.
