MediaTek has quietly launched the new Helio G70 Chipset with HyperEngine game technology. The new Chipset is positioned under the Helio G90, and Helio G90T processors and various reports suggest the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 9 could be one of the first phones to come with the new Helio G70 processor. Besides, the Helio G70 SoC is designed to support gaming capabilities, and it also has 64-bit octa-cores, additional multi-camera photography with secure ISP, an integrated voice on wakeup, and more. According to the MediaTek, “, you get fast and smooth action in your favorite games, through intelligent networking and resource management.” The MediaTek Helio G70 is an Octa-core processor that offers four cores of Cortex A75 clocked at 2GHz and four cores of Cortex A55 clocking at 1.7GHz.
The new Chipset for mid-range smartphones is equipped with 820MHz Mali-G52 2EEMC2, and it supports up to 8 GB of 1800MHz LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The phones fueled by Helio G70 SoC can provide maximum resolutions of 1080 x 2520 pixels. As for connectivity options, the Helio G70 supports 4G carrier aggregation, Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.0. Furthermore, it also supports a single camera of 48MP, Face ID, rolling shutter compensation (RSC), single-cam bokeh, dual cam bokeh, and AI smart photo album.
