According to the recent news regarding the MWC 2017, Nokia is planning to reveal some of the new phones at the conference to be held on February 26th. These new devices include Nokia 6, the first Android phone by Nokia which was a huge success in the chinese markets with a complete sell out. Other devices along with Nokia 6 are the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. Of these, Nokia 3 had been a mystery with no information regarding the device specs up until now.
A new leak, courtesy of a publication by Nokia Power User gives a little insight about the expected specs and the release date with the price.
Specs
The Nokia 3 is expected to host a 5.2” screen displaying at 720p powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal storage. No details regarding a microSD slot is available yet. The chipset will also feature an Adreno 308 GPU.
The device will be having a 13MP rear camera with a 5MP front sensor for selfies.
Like the other phones in the new series, Nokia 3 is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat platform right out of the box and is considered the primary feature to boost the sales of the device in the current market. Specifically made for the fans of Nokia with a budget in mind.
Price and release date
The latest leak hints that the Nokia 3 will launch with a price tag of an approximate $159 which seems reasonable enough for the features and specs of the device. The company aims to cater to the budget conscious buyers with the Nokia 3.
HMD Global has made no confirmation whether the device will be launched globally or made only for a select number of countries. Launch is expected to be in March or April at max.
