OnePlus Nord selfie camera details have been revealed ahead of the launch. The upcoming affordable OnePlus phone will come with dual selfie cameras; an insider source told Android Central. The camera setup will reportedly include a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary snapper. The report further added that the OnePlus Nord will have an elongated cutout for the selfie cameras on the top left corner of the display, just like the Huawei P40 series. If true, this would make the OnePlus Nord the first smartphone from the brand to launch with a 32MP dual selfie camera setup.
It was previously reported that the affordable OnePlus Nord would offer a single selfie camera much like the OnePlus 8 phones. The jump to a 32MP sensor is notable as OnePlus has so far used 16MP sensor for the selfie camera on its phones. To recall, the OnePlus 5/5T and 6/6T used the 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor, while the OnePlus 7 Pro/7T/7T Pro used the 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor. The latest OnePlus 8 series also has the 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor, so it is exciting to see OnePlus do something different in this area. Apart from the dual selfie cameras, a recent rumor suggested that the OnePlus Nord could come with quad rear cameras. The handset is also believed to pack up to 12GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC.
