Oppo has announced that it will be launching a new K-series smartphone called the OPPO K9 on May 6 in China. The moniker of the device suggests that it will be arriving as the successor to the last year’s OPPO K7 5G smartphone.

The official poster that confirms the launch date of the OPPO K9 reveals that it will come with support for 65W rapid charging. The company claims that 5 minutes of charging can make the device last 2 hours. The image also showcases the rear design of the smartphone. The official poster also shows that the handset will be equipped with a triple camera setup which will include a 64MP primary sensor. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed any other key specs of the phone.

The OPPO K9 smartphone appears to be the OPPO PEXM00 phone that was recently certified by the TENAA authority of China. The listing revealed that this device will have a 6.43-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. There could be an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The TENAA listing further revealed that the device will run on Android 11 OS, and it will have a 2,100mAh (rated capacity) dual-cell battery.
