Today Oppo launched Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus in China; both handsets are fresh edition into Chinese company’s mid-range line-up. Both mobiles have same design but inside there are a lot of differences.
Oppo R9
The Oppo R9 features a Full HD AMOLED 5.5-inch display and measures 151.8 x 74.3 x 6.6mm. The device is powered by Mediatek Helio P10 chipset with Cortex-A53 Four cores. It has a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which can be enhanced up to 128GB via MicroSD card. In the camera section, the Smartphone has 13MP rear camera with element lens with f/2.2 aperture and 80.6-degree and 16MP front camera with f/2.0 lens with a 78.1-degree field of view. 16MP front shooter hints that main focus of the mobile will be high quality selfies.
Oppo R9 Plus
The word Plus indicated the particular Smartphone will have a bigger screen, same goes for Oppo R9 Plus, it comes with a 6-inch FullHD AMOLED display. The mobile is powered by Snapdragon 652 with quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A72's and quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53's. In this mobile RAM is similar to Oppo R9 like 4GB. The Smartphone has 64GB storage which can be expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The Oppo R9 has 16MP primary camera and 16 MP secondary camera. In the camera Sony IMX298 sensor is used with a 6-element f/2.0 lens.
Both mobiles Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus have fingerprint scanner and run Android Lollipop. The R9 comes with a 2,850 battery aptitude, while the Plus variant has a 4,120mAh battery. There is little bit difference in connectivity of both mobiles like Oppo R9 Plus supports Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and the R9 is limited to the slower standards. One more connectivity difference is Bluetooth - v4.0 on the R9, v4.1 on the R9 Plus.
Price
The Oppo R9 will carry a CNY 2,799 or ($430) price tag in China. The smart phone is up for pre-order and shipment will start on 24th March. Obviously the Oppo R9 is bit expensive as compare to its base version; the Plus version will carry CNY 3,299 or ($510) price tag. The mobile will land in Chinese market on 12th April. It is not clear yet when both mobiles will be available globally.
