As it promised, Oppo introduced today a new Reno product line and their first phone is called Oppo Reno, but that’s not only in the Beijing launch event, the Chinese mobile brand has also unleashed the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition to lead the standard Reno. China becomes the first to get Reno, but the rest of the global market will meet it on April 24, the company confirmed. On the other hand, Oppo Reno Lite and Reno 5G are yet mysterious.
Both the Oppo Reno and Reno 10X Zoom have a Shark-fin style 16MP (f/2.0) Pop-Up Selfie Camera which lets the display achieve Full View Screen. We have seen such a selfie slide design for the first time, it gives a 79.3 degree wide view.
They bring support for newer VOOC 3.0 Charge, good luck. The Reno family dressed in four colors Fog Sea Green, Mist Pink, Nebula Purple, and Extreme Night Black.
Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition, Periscope Lens and SD855
After badly affected by failed Find series, the Oppo decided to launch another flagship chain, that’s what cause for Oppo Reno to come into existence. The Find X had not achieved last year its sales target due to the equivalent price to an iPhone, but now the intelligent Oppo finds out another way in form of Reno to catch the attention of public for the high-end devices, but this time don’t forget to keep down prices to get the support of consumers.
Out of the retail package, the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom comes up with an infinite AMOLED Display of 6.6inches, a 93.1% screen to body ratio, and FHD+ resolution.
Oppo didn’t neglect the importance of In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, and the Face ID too. We are happy to see ColorOS 6 layered on Android 9.0 Pie platform.
The thing made us interested is 13MP (f/3.0) Periscope Camera that somewhat adds the 5x optical and hybrid 10x zooming in power to Reno device, as its name also showed. There are two more rear high-res cams, 48MP main (wide-angle, f/1.7) and 8MP secondary (ultrawide, f/2.0); it means the Reno 10x zoom can compete other flagships in photography like Huawei P30 Pro.
Under the hub, the Reno 10X Zoom powers up Snapdragon 855 chipset from the high-end Qualcomm line and an 8GB RAM paired with 256GB Storage. It is also available in two cheaper options, 6GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB. Battery is of 4,065 mAh by Li-Po.
Oppo Reno, 48MP Camera and Competitive Price
Oppo Reno is easily affordable than the 10x zoom edition and it lacks the periscope camera and sd855. The major differences between standard and 10x zoom are display size, camera, less powerful chip, and battery capacity.
The Oppo Reno smartphone sports a 6.4in FHD+ AMOLED Display, UD FR, but two photography shooters a 48MP wide-angle and 5MP depth, not periscope and ultrawide hence there’s only 2x zooming-in ability. You can strike at 3,765 mAh smaller battery, and it runs Snapdragon 710 onboard chip.
Both Reno devices have same memory options, and they will be available on sale in China from April 19.
