As scheduled, Realme has finally announced the highly-anticipated Realme X7 and X7 Pro smartphones during an official launch event held in China today. The handsets from Realme are powered by MediaTek Dimensity-series chipsets. The Realme X7 and X7 Pro also have punch-hole AMOLED displays, 65W fast charging, and a 64MP quad-camera setup.
Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro
Design-wise, the two phones are similar as both have a vertically placed quad-camera setup on the back and a single hole-punch on the front. These devices are pretty slim and lightweight as well. The X7 weighs just 175 grams and its thickness is 8.1mm. The X7 Pro is slightly heavier at 184 grams and the thickness is 8.5mm. Talking about the specifications, the vanilla Realme X7 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 180Hz touch-sampling-rate, while the X7 Pro features a 6.55-inch Samsung’s Flexible AMOLED panel with 1,200nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 240Hz touch-sampling-rate. The Realme X7 has a Quad camera setup that includes a primary 64 -megapixel Samsung Sensor whereas the X7 Pro has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. Both phones have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree FOV and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. There is a fourth 2-megapixel camera on both phones which seems to be a B&W sensor. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera on both phones. Realme X7 has the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset while the X7 Pro comes with the Dimensity 1000+ SoC which is the current flagship Chipset from MediaTek. Both devices run Realme UI based on Android 10. Finally, the vanilla Realme X7 has a 4,300mAh battery whereas the Realme X7 Pro packs a slightly bigger 4,500mAh battery. Both phones support 65W Fast Charging.
