It’s already known that the Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi is working on a more affordable version of the Redmi K30 5G, which was released in December 2019. The smartphone is called the Redmi K30i and it will be different from the standard Redmi K30 4G variant as well, which was unveiled in India as the POCO X2. A recent leak from the Twitter user (Xiaomishka), revealed that the main difference between the Redmi K30 5G and the K30i will be the primary sensor, which will be downgraded to 48MP from 64MP. Today, a new leaked promo image of the Redmi K30i has surfaced online, giving us the first glimpse at the upcoming handset.

The Redmi K30i seems to be following the same design philosophy as its elder sibling, Redmi K30 5G. The phone seems to have the same vertical pill-shaped island on the back housing the triple camera setup and LED flash with a metallic finish faux circle around it. The leaked render of the phone also confirmed that it will have a 48MP primary sensor. Another difference that stands out is the single punch-hole cutout on the front unlike the dual pill-shaped cutout on the Redmi K30 5G. Additionally, the K30i seems to be featuring a more solid paint job on the rear panel instead of a gradient design.
