Aside from the launch date, the Weibo post also reveals that the Redmi K40 series will have a new design, new positioning, a new experience, and a surprise announcement. Unfortunately, there is no information about the key specs of the smartphones. Recently, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing announced that the Redmi K40 series would come with a center-aligned punch-hole display compared to pill-shaped cutout and pop-up selfie camera on the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro. He revealed that the punch-hole would be the smallest in the world. The upcoming smartphones will also come equipped with dual stereo speakers. The retail box images that were shared by the company last month suggested that the phones may come without a charger. It is expected that the vanilla Redmi K40 might be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 7-series SoC or Dimensity 1200 chip. The higher Redmi K40 Pro is said to have a Snapdragon 888 processor.
