Samsung Galaxy A82 5G name has been officially confirmed by Samsung through a mention on its security update website. The phone is expected to be a rebranded Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2 that launched in South Korea early last month. Besides the name, the mention on the website does not reveal anything about the phone.

Samsung's official security updates section lists many smartphones under categories of monthly, quarterly, and biannual security updates. The Galaxy A82 5G name has been mentioned in the quarterly security updates section, along with most other Galaxy A-series phones. The phone’s design and specifications could be extremely similar to the Galaxy Quantum 2. According to the information that has already been revealed, the Galaxy A82 5G will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It will also come with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader and stereo speakers. The phone will launch with Android 11 out of the box. It is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 855+ processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. There will be a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 64MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone may have a 10MP camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
