Samsung Galaxy A82 to come with 64MP primary sensor

South Korean tech giant, Samsung recently unveiled its two new mid-range smartphones – Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. Now the company is working on the Galaxy A82 phone. A few days ago, the smartphone was appeared on Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench database. The Galaxy A82 will succeed the Galaxy A80, which came with a slide-up rotating camera setup. The upcoming Galaxy A82 is also expected to come with an innovative camera module. A German tech site GalaxyClub.nl has now leaked important information about the primary camera of the Samsung A82.

As we know, the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 have a 64MP ISOCELL GW1 primary camera, with the addition of OIS being one of the best things about the whole setup. However, the Galaxy A82 will reportedly have a different 64MP sensor supplied by Sony (could be the IMX686 sensor). This sensor was released in late 2019, and so far, it’s been used in many smartphones.

As for some other key specs, recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy A82 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855+ chipset. The phone may also come with 4 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The Bluetooth SIG listing of the phone only revealed that it would arrive with Bluetooth 5.0 support.
