Samsung is set to launch its budget Galaxy M31s smartphone on July 30. This will be the successor to the Galaxy M31, which was launched back in February. Along with the launch date, the teaser released by Samsung has also revealed the front and rear designs of the Galaxy M31s.

This time around, the Galaxy M31s will have a change in the design language from the current Galaxy M31. On the front panel, it will offer a central hole-punch design instead of the typical dewdrop-notch for its selfie camera. The display of the phone also has relatively thin bezels. On the rear side, the Galaxy M31s will maintain a rectangular-shaped quad camera setup. However, we can see that the camera sensors and LED flash are configured in a different arrangement from the Galaxy M31.

Likewise, it is also obvious that the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor has been removed from the Galaxy M31s. Therefore, it is possible that the handset will feature either a side-mounted or in-display fingerprint scanner this time around. In terms of specs, a recent Geekbench listing confirmed that the Galaxy M31s will be driven by an octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The quad-camera setup of the phone will have a 64MP primary sensor. To keep its lights on, the Galaxy M31s will draw power from the same 6,000mAh battery according to its TUV Rheinland listing. Mobile57 speculates that the Galaxy M31s will cost $250 for the base model.
