Samsung has launched a new mid-range phone in India under the M series today. The company has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy M42 with a Snapdragon chipset which also supports the 5G network. The M42 5G will be up for purchase through Samsung India’s online store and Flipkart starting from May 1. It will be available in two colors such as Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G runs on Android 11-based One UI 3.1. It has a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. The phone packs up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage is expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card slot. The phone has a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP GM2 primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor.

In terms of selfies, there is a 20MP shooter. To handle all the internal, the device comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for a 15W Type-C fast charging. The phone claims to deliver 36 hours of talk time, 22 hours of Internet browsing, and 34 hours of video play on a single charge.
