Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Fold 2 launch date confirmed

Initially, it was suggested that Samsung’s unpacked event for its next Galaxy S series phones would take place on February 18. However, recent reports have claimed that the event will take place a week earlier. An unlisted promo video published by the Twitter user (@water8192) on Samsung’s Vimeo account teasing 2 squares wrapped in plastic saying “GALAXY.” At the end of the video, you can see the date of the event. According to the leaked promo video, the event is expected to take place in San Francisco, New York, on February 11, 2020. The short video clip hasn’t revealed what smartphones Samsung would unveil on February 11, but, the video includes the word GALAXY with both a replaced by different shape blocks, likely teasing about two launches. The two squares are saying “GALAXY” in the video is likely to reveal about two major launches at the event. The left square seems to show the camera square of the Galaxy S20 ultra (highest model of the upcoming Galaxy S20 lineup). This square is about the same size and shape that we have seen in the previously leaked renders of the alleged Galaxy S20 ultra.

On the other hand, the right square is likely hinting the new clamshell Galaxy Fold 2. The right square design is about the Motorola Razr style foldable phone. According to the Sammobile, the Galaxy Fold 2 will cost under $1000. Moreover, the Galaxy S20S20 Plus, and S20 ultra are expected to unveil with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset, 108MP primary sensor, and Super AMOLED displays.
