Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Olympic Edition unveiled with SDM 865 Chipset

To commemorate this year’s Tokyo Olympic, Japanese mobile carrier DoCoMo has partnered with Samsung to unveil an exclusive Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Olympic Edition. The Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Edition has a unique Matte Gold shade which is not available for the default model. It also has the Tokyo Olympic 2020 logo etched towards the bottom of its rear panel to add commemorative value to the flagship. In Addition, it also comes with a specially curated retail box which is themed over the Tokyo Olympic 2020 as well. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Olympic Edition has a 6.7-inches display Dynamic AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixels screen resolution. It has a nice-looking 20:9 tall aspect ratio and supports up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset. In the memory configuration, it is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage space, which is further expandable via its dedicated microSDXC slot. On the back panel, S20 Plus 5G Olympic Edition has a quad-camera setup. This comprises of a 12 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) primary sensor, 64 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) telephoto lens, 12 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, as well as a DepthVision camera. It is capable of supporting up to 3x hybrid zoom, and as much as 30x Super-Resolution Zoom. There is a 10MP sensor on the front panel for selfie experience. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Olympic Edition will be selling at JPY114,840, which is just over $1,050, and the first shipments are scheduled for June.
