A reliable tipster, Ice Universe has claimed that the company is working on continuous optical zoom technology for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The leaker also says Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung Semiconductor divisions are developing the tech. Unlike the periscope zoom lens on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, components inside a continuous zoom periscope solution will be able to move freely, enabling improved sharpness at every magnification level.

Aside from the new zoom camera, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have two important upgrades. The phone will reportedly come with an under-display selfie camera, which means that its display will be free from punch-hole cutouts. The phone could also feature the Exynos 2200 processor with AMD Radeon Mobile GPU.
