Samsung has big plans for foldable smartphones this year. Apart from unveiling successors to the existing Galaxy Fold 2 and Z Flip phones in Q3 2021, the company is also expected to launch more affordable foldable phones later this year. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the company’s next-generation flagship foldable smartphone, and it seems that it will indeed arrive with an impressive under-display camera.

The latest leak from reputable tipster Ice Universe confirms that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could come with an under-panel camera (or as Samsung calls it, an under-panel camera). It will be the first Samsung smartphone to feature the under-screen camera. Unfortunately, the tipster hasn’t revealed any further details about the UPC tech on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The previous reports stated that Samsung would use a screen technology that lets light pass through the gap between pixels to click selfies. The smartphone is also said to come with an S Pen support. The company will also add an in-display digitiser, courtesy of the second-generation ultra-thin glass. It will also run on Android 11 with OneUI 3.5. Other rumored features of the Z Fold 3 include Snapdragon 888+ SoC, up to 256GB storage, 5000 mAh battery, and 5G connectivity.
