After all leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally launched the all-new Samsung Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G entry-level smartphones in the European market. Although the two devices are largely similar in design, but they are relatively different when it comes to specs. The Galaxy A22 4G draws power from a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, whereas the Galaxy A22 5G gets a Dimensity 700 SoC.

Starting with the Galaxy A22 5G, this device is currently the cheapest 5G device in the Galaxy A series. It features a 6.6-inch LCD display that offers an FHD+ screen resolution with a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In the camera department, the Galaxy A22 5G has a triple-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also an 8MP selfie camera at the front. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Galaxy A22 5G draws power from a sizeable 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support.

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G arrives with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display which has a slightly toned down HD+ screen resolution along with 90Hz screen refresh rate. It comes with a 13MP front-facing camera for selfie experience. Unlike the 5G variant, the Galaxy A22 has a quad-camera setup. Though it keeps the same 48MP camera, but this one gets an additional OIS stabilization. As for the ultra-wide camera, it’s upgraded to an 8MP sensor. Finally, you also get a pair of 2MP sensors for macro and depth shots. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W quick charging.
