Samsung Launches Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in India

Samsung has officially launched its latest devices Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in India. The both mobiles were unveiled last month at MWC 2016, are available for pre-booking. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be available on 18th march and the users who pre-book the mobiles by March 17 will collect Samsung Gear VR headset for free.

The Galaxy S7 32GB variant will be available in India for INR 48,900 (approximately $725.68), while the Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB will be carry INR 56,900 (approximately 844.40) price tag. Whereas the price of 64GB variant is not known yet. It is expected that both mobiles will come with Samsung's octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC instead of the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset because the chip will come in global models.

As per specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S7 packs a 5.1-inch QHD Super Amoled display, while the Galaxy S7 Edge features a 5.5-inch QHD Super Amoled display. Both phones come with 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel 'Dual Pixel' rear camera. The always-on display permit users check notifications, time, and date without having to wake up the device. Both smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and have IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Expandable storage up to 200 would be a great feature of the devices. In Galaxy S7 a 3000mAh battery is used while the Galaxy S7 Edge packs a 3600mAh battery.
