The information about the existence of the Galaxy Z Fold Lite comes from a DSCC display analyst named Ross Young. He has claimed that he is not hearing any new information about the Galaxy Z Fold Lite, but there will be a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip with UTG. Does this mean Samsung gave up on the lite variant of the Galaxy Z Fold? Probably not. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold Lite will probably be called the ‘Galaxy Z Fold FE’. That is the name that Max Weinbach mentioned a couple of days ago. According to the report by SamMobile, Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Z Flip Lite next year with Ultra-thin Glass. UTG refers to ultra-thin-glass, the display material that feels like glass to touch but can bend easily.
Foldable phones would be much more popular if most people could actually afford them, and a Z Flip Lite would solve one of the biggest foldable issues regarding the price of the handsets. Samsung Z Flip Lite is rumored to have a dual rear camera setup and a 10MP front camera. Other rumored features of the phone include an SDM 855+ SoC, Dynamic AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, 15W fast charging support, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
